This collaboration will accelerate the development of HEXANA’s innovative SMR (Small Modular Reactor) energy platform, which combines sodium-cooled fast reactors with advanced thermal storage capabilities.

This initial partnership focuses on three essential missions where Tractebel’s multidisciplinary nuclear expertise will support HEXANA:

• Design of Nuclear Island Building Systems and Utilities
  Tractebel will contribute its expertise in designing the building systems and utilities of the nuclear island, a critical component for the successful operation of HEXANA’s SMR energy platform.
• Specialized Handling and Maintenance of Components
  The collaboration also covers the specialized handling and maintenance of components, ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and longevity of the systems associated with the SMR platform.
• Compliance with European Nuclear Safety Regulations
  Lastly, Tractebel will support HEXANA in meeting European nuclear safety regulations, a fundamental requirement for the development and operational deployment of the energy platform.
